Good instinct in your own wording: you wrote it flags "signs that text may have been generated," not "catches AI cheaters." That hedge is the most honest sentence in this entire category, and it should be your positioning, not a throwaway line.
Here is the tension though. "For students, educators, writers, and publishers" arms both sides of a war. A student wants to prove they did not use AI; an educator wants to catch someone who did. Those are opposite goals, and a tool that serves both is one neither fully trusts. Pick the side you are for and build for their outcome. And the enemy in this category is specific: the false positive that flags a real human, usually a non-native writer, and does real harm. Every detector claims accuracy; every teacher has heard a horror story. The only position left worth owning is the one that obsesses over never falsely accusing a person, and shows its work, confidence ranges and reasons, instead of a black-box verdict.
One question: if a student and a teacher each described AIGPTZero to a friend, would they describe the same product? If not, that is two products fighting on one page, and the market will trust the one you actually commit to.
