10x Productivity for Developers
airbox was launched on 8th February 2023. Today is a wonderful day that, airbox reached 1000 users' milestone. Out of which, 750 users are unique users. Thanks to Product Hunt for driving more traffic to my platform. More than 75% of traffic was only from Product Hunt.
I have written a detailed article about my progress here. Please read and share your suggestions if any to grow airbox platform.

Once I finalized the MLP (Minium Lovable Product) and the utilities, I was forced to finalize my tech stack. This time I had a clear thought on, NOT to pick something new just to save my development time. So, I choose Quarkus, Vue.JS and Tailwind as my technology stack for https://www.airbox.dev.
Quarkus: This is a Microprofile framework on Java to build microservices. Quarkus is a simple framework and easy to learn. As I already knew Quarkus, kick starting my backend implementation would not be big challenge to me.
Vue.JS: This is a lean UI framework to build user interfaces. As I already developed few applications with Vue.JS, this is again a straightforward choice to me.
Tailwind: This is a super simple CSS framework, and you can easily customize the UI according to your business needs. Again, there is no learning curve for Tailwind framework, and they have a well-defined documentation for anyone to kick start their learning.

I had a well-defined airbox launch plan for Product Hunt. I created a teaser page just one week before launch. The teaser page created an initial traction and attracted around 18 interested users. Finally, the launch day came and airbox platform was launched successfully on Product Hunt.
Product Hunt helped the initial traction with my user base. It drove around 500 users to airbox platform on the launch day. I recommend Product Hunt for any micro-SaaS without any penny spent.

I was 100% certain that airbox will have lots of demand with the developer's community. But the biggest question I had at the time of monetization brainstorming was, would the developers be interested in paying money for this. So, I decided to experiment with 100% free usage through airbox platform. This was one of the key decisions to reach the developer community. But to sustain and manage my deployment cost, I decided to enable the Buy me a coffee option. I think that is the best way to manage my initial cost and expenses. Finally, I created my account and enabled airbox for sponsorship.

Everybody was talking about MVP (Minimum Viable Product). In the recent years, many people have a different thought on the process. So, I decided to focus on MLP (Minimum Lovable Product) instead of MVP. This way, I can focus only on the most important tools and release the first version with the complete workflow. As part of this exercise, I finalized Base64 encoding, URL encoding, UUID Generator, JSON Parser, YAML Parser, XML Parser and CSV Parser. All the above work is completed, and I sealed my product for MLP launch!

As a software engineer, you may use lots of tools and utilities for your programming needs. I also have used lots of tools in my life. But every time I had to visit different website for my programming purposes. This is the triggering point for airbox.dev
