AirCal
Unleash the Power of AirCal's Calendar powered by AI
After a few months, I have decided to kill the project to focus on Meetme only.
It was a nice run and I should share all the learnings in a futur post.
AirCal will be probably replaced by the missing calendar for geek that I always have in mind.
I'd love to have it built in the near futur.
Hey Indie Hackers community,
Just wanted to give a quick update on where we stand with AirCal! We’ve been busy over the past few weeks building out our team and conducting our first user interviews to better understand the needs of our target market.
We’re currently developing our first integration with Google, Notion, and AirTable to make it even easier for users to manage their calendars and stay organized.
We are working hard to creating content weekly and have already sent out our first newsletter today! Our main focus right now is nailing down the pain point we want to resolve and ensuring that we’re creating a product that truly solves a problem for our users.
Stay tuned for more updates!

Have you ever felt like your calendar just doesn't fit your needs? Maybe you've tried various calendar apps and found that they don't allow you to copy and paste data, or that they're not flexible enough to create templates for your workweek. Or you don’t have enough space to add notes or comments in it? These are the types of problems that inspired me to create AirCal - the ultimate calendar tool that offers the best of both worlds.
The idea for AirCal started to grow in my mind a few months ago while I was working on Meetme.io, another project of mine. I found that my calendar just didn't have all the features that I needed. It was frustrating to have to switch between different apps just to manage my schedule. I wanted a tool that would allow me to keep everything in one place, while still being flexible and customizable.
The problem with many calendar apps is that they're either too rigid or too basic. Some apps offer a lot of flexibility, but lack the basic features you need to manage your schedule. Others offer all the standard features, but aren't very customizable or flexible.
So, I began to ask myself: what if there was a calendar tool that was both flexible and customizable, while still offering all the basic features you need to manage your schedule? What if it could also allow you to copy and paste data with ease, and create templates for your workweek? Share these templates and get inspired by others?
That's when the idea for AirCal was born. I wanted to create a tool that combined the flexibility of AirTable and the ease of use of Notion, while still offering all the basic features you need to manage your schedule.
AirTable is a powerful database tool that allows users to create custom views and workflows to fit their specific needs. Notion, on the other hand, offers an intuitive and easy-to-use interface for note-taking and task management. By combining the best aspects of these tools, I knew that AirCal could offer users a truly unique and versatile experience.
With AirCal, you can create custom calendar templates that fit your needs, just like in AirTable. You can also easily add text and images to your events, just like in Notion. And with the ability to copy and paste data with ease, AirCal makes it simple to manage your schedule in the way that works best for you.
In conclusion, I am thrilled to launch AirCal in early beta and to be able to offer it to users who are looking for a better way to manage their schedules. However, I am just getting started with this project, and I want to build more in public. That's why I'll be sharing my progress along the way as much as I can.
What's next?
In the coming weeks, I plan to share more about the inspiration behind AirCal and the initial brainstorming process that led to its creation. I'll also dive into the brain dump that I did in the sauna, where many of my best ideas come to me, and how I went about researching the libraries to use for the tech stack. I'll share my experiences with User Story mapping done on Miro, which helped me to flesh out my ideas and get a clearer sense of what users would want and need from this tool.
I'm excited to share this journey with all of you and to see where it takes us. Stay tuned for more updates, and in the meantime, don't hesitate to reach out with any feedback or suggestions you might have. Let's build the perfect calendar tool together!
