Chats with your AirPods, No typing!
Hi Hackers!
I always find myself spending too much time typing when chatting with friends and family. I can put it simpler as a way to talk to people when you are busy (like voicemails do). An example of an app that does this for video is Marco Polo (where you create videos that people later watch/listen to. An added feature is the ability to send or listen to a message when the app is in the background. Something that messaging apps lack.
So I made an app for chatting without typing anything. You just tap a button that records your voice. Then tap that button once more and your message is sent. You can listen to chats, even when you leave the app.
I’ve added speech recognition so that you can read the message in case your AirPods or headphones (if your that poor like me) are not near by

CURRENT PROGRESS
We’re in our fifth iOS Beta build. It took about three weeks to build and 1 week to find a name, design a brand, mockups, on boarding flow, and messaging experience. We’re lucky to have 150+ beta users from 50+ different countries in just a few days of our beta release. We used’s Apple’s public beta link to do so https://testflight.apple.com/join/wL0ZRXln if you’re interested or want to give feedback we can of course Airchat.
BUGS & COMING FEATURES
It might be buggy, let me know how I can improve it. For this version, there are some bugs you might experience, like the bluetooth not working properly, so your AirPods may not sync perfectly. Notifications feel spammy, were on it!
COMING FEATURES
For better speech recognition, we’re looking for alternatives (Apple’s isn’t there yet). Currently you can only send audio, but we’ll be adding images, videos, and links. Join early launchers here when the features go live https://theairchat.com
BROADCAST MODE (proposed feature)
In broadcast you will find different channels like tech, comedy, sports etc.. So you’ll find people talking about certain topics using their frequency (which is their profile), within specific channels. Eg, you listen to Elon Musk’ as he talks about Mars in the Space channel. This is a feature still on the cards so if you have any recommendations in making it simpler, that would be amazing!

In the Past four day, we've 100 daily users. Now we'll need to get in contact with them so we can know how best to make Airchat valuable for them.

About
I love the multitasking freedom podcasts brings me. But I've found it difficult to communicate with most people while doing something. Going full audio allows you to play back chats and respond on the go.
