Airgram
Recording, transcript, notes for zoom & google meet.
Finally, we got our first paying customer after two weeks of the pricing plan being launched, it's a good sign. You can't imagine how bad we were feeling in those two weeks, it's taken us one and half a year to develop, and we didn't get any revenue, you could feel the air was frozen, and the whole team felt anxious.
As I mentioned before, we didn't get much payment, we have some guesses, and the next step is to test and verify them. I thought we were too generous to give so many free quotas, so we released a new version to reduce the quotas of the free version. The result is good, we received 2 more payments in the next 7 days.
The next steps in optimizing pricing plans are as follows:
- Send a pricing sensitivity survey, and adjust the pricing based on the result.
- Provide more tiers, such as a Pro plan, to fulfill the bottom-up strategy.
- Free plan features should be restricted, and add more features for Pro and Team plans.
After a long period of research and design, we have finally launched our pricing plan. Unfortunately, no payments have been made in the past 14 days. Could it be that our free reward is too generous? Is it too expensive? It's not worth it? We'll see after we make some adjustments.

We prepared for a long time, 2 months ago we realized that our product is not friendly for our Zoom users, and we see lots of competitors succeed in Google Meet recording and transcribing. We know that if we develop a Chrome extension for Google Meet, we will provide a better user experience for those Google Meet users. And by talking with our users, we found out audio is not enough, we need to record video because they sometimes need review presentation, especially for sales, CS and students. So we trying so hard to finally add the video recording feature in Airgram.
After that, we launched a test in Betatesting, we got positive feedbacks from those 50 testers, it gives us more confidence in Product Hunt launch.
It was never easy launching on Product Hunt, but we finally did it today.
There's still room for improvement with Airgram, and I hope we can find PMF successfully by the end of this year.
This is a day I will never forget. 😊

We released the first version of Airgram after 6 moths development and at that time we are not sure whether our users will accept this product so it's really risky. If I do it again, I will narrow down the scope of our first version and cut down secondary features, try to release MVP sooner and get enough feedback for early adopters.
