May 1, 2020 Finished MVP

Used Shopify with a bunch of integrations to provide flat rates for same-day shipping services in New York. It took me a couple of hours to put it together. When I finished I started to promote among colleagues. I also got credits at Yelp and Google Adwords to promote the services

April 1, 2020 Quit my job in the middle of the pandemic

I always wanted to build something, I was never lucky looking for jobs and really enjoyed building products from scratch. I was working at an agency for around two years, as a side hustle, I was testing startup ideas but wanted to build something unique and innovative. What I did not know is that I already built something.

I created a community of people (friends and people from the Ecuadorian community in New York) who were willing to do deliveries for the projects I managed at the agency.
I built this community a couple of months after I joined the agency, so we've been doing logistics for a while.

When COVID hit, I realized I already started something, to solve the logistics issues at my job. I did not realize the potential before COVID because like many other people I thought that a shipping company is hard to grow.

The motivation to pick this idea and further develop it came from the happened of the delivery workers for having a decent job and the happiness of the clients with the service.

About

As a Photo Producer, I experienced how hard it is to move things like equipment props, and wardrobe across town. On the other side, I am a former delivery girl. Delivering things is not easy and is an underestimated job.
