AIThesaurus
The multilingual AI thesaurus with integrated SEO search vol
The Background
I’ve spent over two decades—24 years to be exact—navigating the ever-shifting landscape of SEO, copywriting, and digital marketing. I’ve seen the industry go from simple keyword stuffing to the complex, AI-driven semantic search we face today. Over that time, I’ve built a career out of ranking businesses in Google Map Packs and mastering the technical side of the web.
The Problem
Throughout my career, I’ve hit the same wall repeatedly: the friction between a copywriter’s creative vision and an SEO’s data requirements. We find a beautiful, nuanced synonym to avoid repetitive text, only to discover it has zero search volume. We end up sacrificing "soul" for "stats".
The Pivot
In 2026, I decided it was time to build the solution I wished I’d had since day one. I’m now building AIThesaurus.io, a multilingual SaaS application that merges an AI-driven thesaurus with real-time keyword search volume insights.
I'm currently developing the platform using a modern stack—Lovable, Vercel, and Supabase—to ensure it can handle the scale required for the programmatic SEO strategies I’ve spent years refining.
The Goal
My mission with this project is to empower "Content Engineers"—people who refuse to compromise on great writing but understand that if content isn't findable, it doesn't exist.
I’m moving from managing client campaigns to scaling a 1,000,000-page programmatic site and launching a tool that helps others do the same. I'm here on Indie Hackers to document the build, share the lessons learned from two decades in marketing, and connect with other founders who are building the next generation of AI-integrated tools.
I'm currently getting 35K+ unique visitors per day from different locals spanning the globe. I've yet to monetize it and am looking for partners in the AI tools space to trade links / banner space with.
My target audience is AI-Savvy users looking for an alternative to the legacy thesaurus websites.
I’d love to hear from other veteran marketers turned founders: What was the specific "pain point" that finally pushed you to stop using tools and start building them?
About
After more than two decades in the SEO and digital marketing space, I realized that writers and marketers are constantly forced to choose between linguistic variety and search engine visibility.
