Akord

It's still beta, but it's out in the wild now! We also launched a new marketing website.

It was a struggle to draw a line in the sand and say this is 'ready'. We still have a lot of features missing we know we need, but it was time to get something out there for people to use and get that valuable feedback.

An interesting project that we undertook before launch was to build our own KPI dashboard. We matched every KPI with a 'balancing metric', so we wouldn't be mislead by any data point. For example, the number of paying users will be balanced by churn rate; the rate of engagement (defined as the avg number of transactions per user) is balanced by measuring inactive users (users who didn't make any transactions in the last 30 days); and also balancing revenue with cash burn.

We actually plan to properly launch the Beta in November, but we decided to use Akord to collaborate with a freelancer we're working with to build our new marketing website.

Together in a data room we're sharing sensitive data like invoices and proof of payment, as well as digital assets for the project like fonts, logos and graphics.

Very exciting to have our first user!
