Alcamine
Job matching made easy.
I'm excited to announce the beta launch for Alcamine! This is a something I initially used myself to help find more freelance work and found it so valuable that I partnered with someone to built it into a product.
In a nutshell, Alcamine is a special inbox that scores job opportunities based on your preferences, location, and keywords — all while keeping your information private.
Getting started is as easy as creating an account, choosing an email, putting the email on your resume, and connecting it to job boards.
Lessons learned:
- Start the hype train for your product about 45 days before you know you'll deliver. We started the email list really early and our unsubscribe rate from the email list went up as people became more restless. Moreover, it took time for us to create more content instead of hammering out the product.
- Check Github's status before launching. They had issues this morning and we couldn't push to deploy lol. Luckily, there were no showstoppers.
Would love any feedback and will post more lessons learned over the next couple weeks.
The landing page for Alcamine is up! Alcamine lets jobs come to you and scores them based on what you want to see. It's something we've been using internally with great success so far, and we want to open it up to beta in the coming weeks to get more feedback.
Would appreciate any feedback and if you're interested please join the waitlist! The first 500 users gets first dibs on selecting their email. 🙌🏻
