ALIGNR
Cognitive Independence Research Platform
Today is Day 0 of a 90-day build. June 1 is Day 1 — I start writing Python at 7:30 AM. What I'm building: ALIGNR — a research platform that measures whether AI is developing or eroding human cognitive independence. The study design is a 60-day randomized A/B trial. Group A gets feedback on three metrics (RAS, CII, SCS). Group B gets prompts only (control). Users register, complete sessions, and we measure cognitive alignment over time. The non-negotiable: user text is never stored. Only floats (0.0-1.0) cross into the database. Privacy is verifiable in the open schema, not just claimed. Research basis: - CHI 2026 (pre-AI reflection improves critical thinking) - Microsoft ExtendAI CHI 2025 (articulated reasoning = better augmentation) - Academy of Management Journal 2026 (cognitive alignment in human-AI collaboration) Some context: I'm 17, building from Bihar, India. I had zero Python experience 30 days ago. I'm doing 12-hour days for 90 days. Income goal: $18k realistic in 90 days from Voice AI + n8n automation + Fiverr. Admissions goal: MIT EA + 8 other schools by November 1. Study deploy goal: Day 21 — preregister on OSF, then go live. I'll post weekly milestones here. If you're building something solo and ambitious, I want to hear about it. Day 1 starts on 1 June. — SYNTHRAKX github.com/synthrakx/alignr
About
ALIGNR exists because nobody is measuring whether AI is developing or eroding human cognitive independence. I'm building it as a 60-day randomized A/B research study with verifiable privacy — user text is never stored.
