Alio
Free iOS meditation app
Launched my second product on Product Hunt recently… and wow, it feels different this time.
Back in the day, PH was full of tiny, delightful products — things you could stumble upon and go “oh, that’s cool!” Now? It’s mostly AI tools, generative apps, and flashy launches everywhere. Hard to find something that actually feels… pleasant.
Don’t get me wrong, AI is amazing—but I kinda miss the charm of discovering something simple, thoughtful, and human.
Anyone else feel like PH has changed? Or am I just old now?
Hey IH 👋
I didn’t set out to build a “meditation startup.” I just wanted something that worked for me.
Every meditation app I tried felt bloated: sign-ups, subscriptions, endless courses. By the time I got through the onboarding, the urge to meditate had already passed.
So I built Alio — the app I wished existed. It does one thing: open it, tap Start, and you’re meditating in 3 seconds. No accounts, no paywalls, no clutter. Just silence and presence.
I’m the first user, and honestly, I built it to scratch my own itch. But I figured if it solves my problem, maybe it can help others too.
Would love to get your feedback, especially from anyone who meditates (or has tried and bounced off the usual apps).

Meditation got bloated. I built Alio to strip it back — open the app, tap Start, and you’re meditating. My goal is to make mindfulness accessible to anyone, anywhere, in just a few seconds.

Thanks for posting - we just went live on BetaList today and we're going to push to Product Hunt next week. Hopefully people feel that we are providing something game changing when it comes to protecting innovation.
Congrats on the BetaList launch! 🚀 The problem space you’re tackling is really interesting — patent paperwork is one of those things everyone knows is painful but few try to solve. Curious to see how people respond on Product Hunt next week!
