Allen Bot

What I imagined would be a weekend project took 2 years of serious development over nights and weekends. Fair to say I massively underestimated the amount of effort to build a SaaS app, after having been part of building plenty. Doing everything by yourself is unimaginable. I gained some serious appreciation for all of my old co-workers!

This is funny to me now, because I read countless blog posts of others describing how difficult actually launching an app would be. Of course, I imagined they were overselling the challenge. They were not.

Finally The Allen Bot is released to the iOS app store for DIY Property Management. Built in React Native, so Android is soon to follow.

Annoyed with managing my properties between California and Arizona, decided to start looking for an app that would automate the service provider assignment flow. There was no app doing this on the market! And the mobile apps were all poorly designed and implemented. So I decided to start working on the idea that would eventually become The Allen Bot. I started looking into running machine learning processes on service requests and thus the journey began.
