My Process for Building an MVP in 14 Days with Next.js, ShipFast, Claude.ai, and ChatGPTAs a solo founder

Time is my most valuable resource.

When I decided to build my latest MVP, I knew I needed a tech stack that would allow me to move fast without sacrificing quality. After some experimentation, I found a combination that worked incredibly well: Next.js, ShipFast, Claude.ai, and ChatGPT. Here’s how I used these tools to go from idea to MVP in just 14 days.

Day 1-2: Ideation and Planning
I started with a clear problem I wanted to solve. Using Claude.ai, I quickly generated a few potential solutions and features. Claude’s AI-driven brainstorming helped me refine my ideas and saved hours of mind-mapping.

Day 3-4: Setting Up the Foundation with ShipFast
To speed up development, I used ShipFast, a SaaS boilerplate that comes with a lot of built-in functionality like authentication, billing, and UI components. This allowed me to focus on building out the unique features of my product without getting bogged down in boilerplate code.

With ShipFast, I had my application’s basic structure set up in no time. The pre-built components and integrations let me jump straight into the core development, skipping the usual setup hassles.

Day 5-7: Building the Core Features with Next.js
Next.js was my framework of choice for building the front end. Its versatility and the ability to handle both static and dynamic content made it perfect for my needs. I leveraged Next.js’s server-side rendering and API routes to create a seamless and responsive user experience.

During this phase, I integrated the core features I had outlined earlier, making sure to keep the user experience smooth and intuitive.

Day 8-10: AI-Powered Enhancements with Claude.ai and ChatGPT
At this point, I revisited Claude.ai to help optimize user flows and refine the copy across my application. The insights I gained from Claude’s suggestions were invaluable in making the user experience more engaging and straightforward.

I also used ChatGPT to assist with generating content, code snippets, and even troubleshooting some tricky issues. ChatGPT acted as an on-demand assistant, accelerating my development process and reducing the time spent on debugging.

Day 11-12: Testing and Iteration
Once the main features were in place, I spent two days rigorously testing the MVP. I wanted to ensure everything worked smoothly before launch, so I used a combination of automated tests and manual checks.

During this time, I also iterated on feedback from a few early users, making quick adjustments where necessary. ShipFast’s integrated tools made it easy to deploy updates and monitor the application’s performance.

Day 13-14: Final Touches and Launch
With everything tested and polished, I spent the last two days adding final touches—cleaning up the UI, optimizing load times, and ensuring the application was ready for launch. Thanks to the combination of tools I used, I was able to deploy a fully functional MVP on day 14, right on schedule.

Conclusion
Building an MVP in just 14 days is no small feat, but with the right tools, it’s entirely possible. By leveraging Next.js, ShipFast, Claude.ai, and ChatGPT, I was able to focus on what really mattered—delivering a product that solves a real problem. If you’re looking to rapidly prototype and build your next project, I highly recommend giving this stack a try.

Thanks! I have been learning to code since jan this year. learned a lot, wouldn't say I am an expert, but its enough to get a few projects launched.
