I’m the solo developer behind Animexus, and this project is deeply personal to me.
The Story & Motivation Behind Animexus: Having owned many pets throughout my life, I experienced a heartbreaking loss when my hamster passed away on the way to the vet. I simply didn't know that even mild heat inside a car could be dangerous, or that I needed a cooling pack for transport.
That moment sparked my mission: to build an intelligent system that tells pet owners what they don't even know they should be looking out for.
Animexus is a proactive, long-term care ecosystem designed for ALL types of pets — from dogs and cats to small rodents and exotic species.

The AI analyzes the pet's entire state to deliver daily actionable recommendations for improving their quality of life — covering tailored diets, behavioral insights, useful product recommendations, health checks, and vaccination schedules.
🌡️ Contextual Transport Safety: When a vet visit is scheduled, the AI fetches the user's location and live weather forecast hours prior. It calculates exact risk factors and delivers step-by-step safe transport instructions tailored to your specific pet.
🩺 Smart AI Symptom Tracking: Logging an active illness automatically triggers custom guidelines explaining exactly which subtle behavioral changes to monitor.
💬 Vet Readiness: Automatically generates a structured checklist of essential questions to ask your vet an hour before your appointment.
📱 Product Features & Tech Stack:
Core Features: Complete pet profiles, instant info export for sitters/vets, task manager, and monthly budget analytics.
Privacy First & Native UI: Built with a native iOS glassmorphism UI. Fully anonymous data handling (stored on Firebase/Firestore) — critical for European privacy standards.
Current Status: Both backend and frontend are 100% finished, fully tested, and live in the App Store.

There’s a lot packed into the product, which makes the positioning especially interesting.
I’d be curious what the earliest users are actually responding to most strongly, rather than which feature is objectively the “core.”

From our early adopters and initial paying subscribers, the response has been super clear: it's not just about a single utility tool like reminders or task lists. What resonates most strongly is the long-term, passive AI-driven intelligence and the daily personalized care routine.
Users love the peace of mind of waking up to actionable insights specific to their pet's exact profile (breed, age, weather factors, lifestyle) without having to manually research everything themselves. It transforms the app from a passive database into a proactive daily companion.
That daily habit-building aspect is what's driving our current retention and conversion!
