November 29, 2019 API

I have the API running for the waitlist, session management, and syncing encryption keys across devices. However, I have a very big cold boot time because I am using Lambda functions with a GraphQL endpoint. I had to jump through a few hoops to ensure connections where not being created to handle each request, and it still appears to be a major issue.

November 29, 2019 Launch Page V2

I incorporated some of the feedback I received from my previous post. It took sometime and hurdles because I was being on the bleeding edge of technology and that requires times. I decided to duplicate the components and have it work as default to reduce the amount of time I would spend on researching to get linaria working with lerna.

September 22, 2019 Redesigned the Launch Page

I posted the previous to the landing page thread, and asked for feedback. I redesigned the page a bit, added more details about the goal of the product, added colors, and implemented an email newsletter. I have a version which includes more details, however that is reserved for the next week.

PS: I'd appreciate it if you don't spam the email newsletter with random emails, I can only gather 100 per month via the free tier from statickit.com

👋Howdy! Are you looking for feedback or just sharing?

I am looking for feedback; also i'm sharing my progress.

    Some quick feedback:

    1. First glance I can't tell what this is? I spent too much time reading everything because nothing on the page had the answer to my question: "what does this do and who is it for?".
    2. It would help to know what features I can expect from the final product even if it is not ready.

    Hope this helps.

I agree with some of the comments about what the main focus is on the landing page. What you're selling at the moment is "this winter"...

    Maybe something nicer would be;

"Digitize your life" - in the dominate black.
Then a short descriptive paragraph about what it is underneath, 50% smaller font size in a gray. Then under the input and button "coming this winter" in small gray writing

Pricing plans or free with non invasive ads (you'd have a decent CPM I think)?
    I'm really interested

I am planning on doing freemium; certain features will require a premium subscription, and the rest would be included in the free tier. I do not know the details yet.

No worries. I appreciate, and value your constructive feedback because it provides me the perspective I failed to consider while developing this page.

Yes, the padding was intended to be used as centering. I prototyped it, and went with it. I didn't refactor the code.

Why would a specific date rather encourage a user to subscribe than a specific season? I thought the vagueness would encourage the user to subscribe. I do however agree with your statement communicating about the product, because this page does not have an established presence. I will definitely incorporate this change into the next release--I already have it designed.

Again, thank you for your constructive feedback. Your feedback provides immense value; for someone working on their own nearly without any feedback, and a limited time set.

I understand you now. The date does not provide as much value as the problem the product intends to solve, or what features the product contains.

I will move the date to the bottom, and duplicate the email submission forms.

Yes, I agree. I know I can use flex box to center, absolute, or javascript. Padding was not perfect, but the quickest for me to prototype with. Thank you for the heads up, and pointing me in a direction--its invaluable to beginners.

Again, thank you for your feedback!

About

The apps I used did not satisfy my needs. They lacked a desktop client, and the UI was too complex.
