Write Markdown with a Word-style editor and BYO LLM
Hi everyone,
Markdown is everywhere now - especially in this AI era where it's the standard format for prompts and knowledge work. Yet the tools we use to write it are stuck in "developer mode." They demand four-finger hotkey combinations and raw syntax scattered across your screen.
MS Word isn't perfect, but it gets out of your way. You just type. I wanted the exact same experience with Markdown.
Moreover, I desire to have tight, two-way sync between your document and an AI - for brainstorming, editing, auditing, and refinement without context switching.
I kept waiting for someone to build this. And finally decided to create own. So I built Antalogy App ( https://antalogy.com ) - free 100% local-fist desktop Markdown Word Processor integrate AI Assistant to support Bring Your Own LLM. It connects via any OpenAI-compatible API to your own local quantized LLMs (like Llama/Mistral via Ollama), private cloud, or on-prem inference servers.
This is a preview version, and I might be missing a key feature that knowledge workers actually need. I'd love your honest, direct feedback and comments to correct development plans and roadmap for Antalogy.
Thanks, Serge
P.S. This is not just one more weekend vibe-coded app, with 30 years in software industry including Borland and Microsoft as well as created own startup from the idea to M&A, I undertand the product have to be deeply architectured, otherwise no way to have future. At the same time functionality have to meet user needs and your voice is highly important for me.

The two-way AI/document workflow is more interesting to me than the Word-like editor itself.
Curious whether early users are primarily looking for a better Markdown writing experience, or for the ability to work with their own AI without leaving the document.
