My first client

I was originally trying to build a robo-advisor and mainly target donors and help them increase their donations, kind of like my previous idea The Giving Basket. However, I wrote a post on a social impact forum, and that landed me my first paying client which was not a donor but a nonprofit that was interested in our services since they didn't have financial expertise in house. That was $5,000 in recurring annual revenue! I realized that larger organizations had a lot more money than small donors, and pivoted to serving nonprofits.
