Antigravity Investments
Investment firm increasing funding for charities by $20m+
After reaching five figures in revenue, I'm trying to add a full-time team member to substantially scale our free investment advising and paid investment management services. This should allow us to increase funding for charities from eight figures to nine figures, and increase our revenue from five figures to six and seven figures in the future.

After interest rates increased, this made one of our primary means of social impact, helping charities increase the interest rate on their savings, much more compelling. This helped us add clients, increase fees in scenarios where we provided paid services instead of free advice (we do both), and took us to five figures in revenue!

I was originally trying to build a robo-advisor and mainly target donors and help them increase their donations, kind of like my previous idea The Giving Basket. However, I wrote a post on a social impact forum, and that landed me my first paying client which was not a donor but a nonprofit that was interested in our services since they didn't have financial expertise in house. That was $5,000 in recurring annual revenue! I realized that larger organizations had a lot more money than small donors, and pivoted to serving nonprofits.

I was working on a donor-advised fund platform called The Giving Basket in 2016 which was creating tax-deductible baskets that any person or group of people could donate to and then control where those donations would be routed. Kind of like a zero minimum, crowdsourced foundation. One of my ideas was to invest the money that was sitting in a giving basket before it was donated. I thought the overall business model might not be viable, but the investment idea seemed really compelling to me because it was like "creating money out of thin air" for donors and charities. I realized the impact could be pretty large, and Antigravity Investments was born!

About
I believe Antigravity Investments' social impact model is really promising. It has increased funding for charities by over $20 million and outperformed the market for nearly five years, all without any full-time staff.
