One way in which you can support Apalla is by purchasing Knowledge Docs, short cheatsheets on a variety of different topics. These docs usually sell for $7.99, but keep on the lookout for discounts every so often! Click the images to go to their respective store pages.
The Library of Apalla features a large set of free, open-access books available for the many topics Apalla covers. These books can either be used as supplemental reading for the courses, or for your own learning, or for any other use you might find for them.

At Apalla, we believe that the portfolio is the future.
Traditional education systems relied on three approaches to get people into jobs: to educate (duh), to network, and to build a resume.
The internet has given us nearly infinite educational resources, and the post-COVID19 Remote Revolution has made us rethink collaboration. So, that leaves the resume.
How do you find a good job without a traditional education? How do you show people you know what you’re doing without a degree?
Simple: you use the portfolio.
When you learn online, you have the freedom to learn whatever you want to learn. You then build something with that knowledge, and apply it to a public portfolio.
Learning Computer Science? Build a program on Github.
Learning History? Analyze and write about it.
Learning Art? Post your sketches on a blog.
Learning Biology? Perform analysis on a public dataset.
You can make similar education -> portfolio examples for any possible major.
Of course, this is easier said than done. How are you supposed to figure out the best way to make a portfolio for your own purposes?
Well, this is where Apalla Portfolio comes in. Just like how we aggregated the world’s knowledge, we’re now aggregating the ways to apply that knowledge.
As of writing, Portfolio links consist of three categories: Challenge, Incubator, and Accelerator. Challenges provide a long list of potential problems to solve with your know-how. Incubators help you develop these ideas on your own. Accelerators help to get them launched and growing.
As time goes on, we’ll move away from “entrepreneurial” focused portfolio activities, and provide other sources like datasets or publishing software for those who are more academic focused. We’re also working on job boards for those who want to take a more traditional route.
