Api 2 Kpi
Simple dashboards for developers
The public prototype of Api 2 Kpi is finally here!
I'm super proud to reach this milestone, especially after deploying a prototype for a separate project only 8 days ago (https://www.megada.sh).
For now, I am looking forward to being the main user of A2K, to monitor metrics for all of my own side projects.
As the products main user, I expect to make many changes in the coming weeks/month, to fix any bugs or UX issues that annoy me.
Of course, if someone else decides to use A2K, I will be happy to listen to any feedback they have - and improve the product where neccessary!
What's the immediate future for A2K?
- Drag/drop to reorder widgets
- Set widget width (small/medium/large)
- Support SSO (initially Twitter)
- Have an SEO/Marketing only week!
Wish me luck! :)
Good evening everyone,
I'm Russ and I would like to introduce https://www.api2kpi.co
Whenever I work on side projects, I often find myself building bespoke dashboards inside of my app to report on various key measurements (eg. Num new users today).
I don't want to spend lots of money on a tool that has 100s (or 1000s) of integrations with other system - because typically, my APIs already connect to all my data providers, be it my mongo DB, my stripe account etc. Therefore, I find it simpler to just write a quick endpoint to expose the data I want to display on the dashboard.
I am writing Api 2 Kpi to save me the effort of having to create dashboards (with polling features, historic data with graphs, notifications) for every new project I create.
So, I figured, if its useful to me, perhaps it will be useful to others. If not, or people don't think its worth £7.99 for unlimited dashboards and data sources, that's fine :-)
I'm currently about 50% through development. Please feel free to leave any pearls of wisdom in the comments, or catch me on twitter https://twitter.com/kinorouk
