December 15, 2020 AppReviewBot available in Microsoft Teams Store

Yesterday, I received a great e-mail letting me know that AppReviewBot was finally accepted to Microsoft AppSource which means that folks will now be able to find it when searching for apps within Microsoft Teams.

There were several different hurdles to getting approved and altogether the process took more than a month.

In terms of user acquisition channels, the Slack App Directory has treated me well over the years so I'm excited to see if this helps further our exposure!

November 6, 2020 Microsoft Teams Support + Blog

I'm happy to announce that AppReviewBot now supports posting App Store and Google Play reviews to Microsoft Teams as well as Slack. I've had several customers churn in the past few months due to their organization switching to MS Teams so I'm reasonably confident that there is at least some interest for it.

The landing page for MS Teams can be found here: https://appreviewbot.com/microsoft-teams/

Now the fun part begins which is trying to figure out how to reach this new audience! As part of my first efforts, I've written a blog post to help people get setup with the new integration: https://appreviewbot.com/blog/app-reviews-in-microsoft-teams/

This was a good push to add a proper blog section on the website instead of relying on Medium for posting content!

Looking back at my IndieHackers milestones while writing this I'm surprised to learn that it's now been over 2 years since starting the MVP for AppReviewBot. It's very cool to look back and see how far it's come but there is still a long way to go!

October 18, 2020 AppReviewBot Website Redesign Launched!

It's been a long time coming but we have finally moved the AppReviewBot website redesign to production!

This was something that was long overdue since ever since the original launch we have been using my, ahem, "functional" version. While it got the job done and allowed us to validate the idea, it certainly wasn't following the traditional landing page suggestions that we all read about everyday.

It's feeling great to check this off the list since it should unblock some of the marketing avenues that we want to continue exploring!

If anyone wants to check out the new website, it can be found here: https://appreviewbot.com/ -- I would love your feedback!

February 22, 2020 Google Play Reviews Support is Live!

I have just pressed the button and deployed Google Play Reviews support to AppReviewBot. Ever since I launched, I have had prospective and existing users asking if AppReviewBot also supported Google Play and it's nice to finally be able to answer positively!

I'm excited at the thought of potentially doubling my potential user base. I have had several users churn and actually explicitly say that they would return if I added support for Google Play so we shall see how that goes 😛

July 19, 2019 Added Annual Subscription Plans

I had a prospective customer reach out to me and ask if we had annual subscription plans since they prefer to pay in that way. I scrambled and quickly created the plans on Stripe.

The plans have now been added to the subscription page on the website. I must say, it's pretty cool to have someone ask to pay you more money upfront.

Lesson learned: Always create annual subscription plans. It's a great boost to cashflow!

I love Medium. It's an excellent place to share thoughts on things that interest you. The platform is especially useful for sharing articles and videos that you enjoy, not just the ones that you think are interesting. Try this Meraki MX Firewall and Licensing for best tips. If you're looking for more content, Medium has a Recommended section at the top of the homepage that highlights great reads from other users. It's a great way to discover new content without having to sift through hundreds of pages of articles yourself.

About

I'm an app developer that wants to know about my customer reviews on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store as soon as they occur. This Slack/MS Teams integration allows me to address early feedback from my customers!
