Hey Indie Hackers,
Like many of you, our monthly startup tech stack expenses have occasionally spun out of control. subscription fatigue is real, and it eats heavily into a bootstrapped founder's margins.
While building other projects, we noticed two consistent financial leaks in our business:
We were paying full price for essential marketing and productivity SaaS tools because we couldn’t find reliable, active discount codes or lifetime deals.
We were losing significant percentages of our capital to hidden transaction fees on crypto tools, payment gateways, and exchanges.
To solve this for ourselves—and eventually for other builders—we are launching AppSumore.
What is AppSumore?
It is a dual-focus directory designed to optimize a startup’s operational margins:
SaaS Discounts & Alternatives: We curate verified discount codes and software comparisons so founders can build their stacks on a budget.
Crypto Cashback Guides: We provide structured, step-by-step walk-throughs on how to configure and claim trading fee rebates, cashback, and exchange discounts to minimize friction.
Building in Public: Starting at $0 MRR
We are monetizing transparently via affiliate commissions and brand partnerships. Right now, our monthly revenue is exactly $0.
Our goal over the next 90 days is to get our first 1,000 organic visitors and secure our first $100 in affiliate revenue, completely through organic channels (SEO, community distribution, and value-adding partnerships). We want to prove that you can build a sustainable directory business without a massive ad spend budget.

I like that you're looking at operational costs as something founders can actively optimize rather than just accept.
