April 2020 Reached 2,500 Stars on GitHub

Just 8 months after the first version of Appwrite was released on GitHub we have reached 2,500 stars on the platform. This is a major achievement, especially when comparing to major projects like Elasticsearch, Sentry or Strapi that needed at least 20 months to reach the same milestone.

I guess that creating a lot of content and a great reaction on social media were some of the main factors that helped us reach this goal.

March 19, 2020 Version 0.5 Released

Just released another big version with a lot of new features and bug fixes. We used this version to introduce some important breaking changed we had to make to help our users have a better use some of our APIs and tools. This version also introduced our custom domain and auto-generated SSL certificates feature.

This version was the biggest product upgrade we have done to this date.
