Feedback on my landing page?

Hello Indie Hackers world! I recently launched Apricot, a cross-platform content aggregator. I've just started to work on building traction, aka finding product-market fit, and I'd love feedback on my landing page to see if the message is getting across clearly.

If you have a minute, please check out

I'd love feedback on the clarity of the message. How well are you able to answer these questions after spending 30 seconds on the site?

  • What problem does Apricot solve?
  • What is the product, actually? What does it do?
  • Why should you use it?
  • How to start using it?

If you have feedback on the business itself, that's great too.

The first view of the landing page doesn't give a clear explanation of the app. It should be simpler and easier to understand. The visuals are very nice. You might want to check this out

      Great reference, will do.

Not sure whether that is how it is supposed to work, but when getting started from a desktop browser it did allow me to proceed to sign up, while as per the image of a mobile phone on the landing page, it did convey a message that it's a mobile app.

So I would probably at first specify what the product is - a mobile app, a web platform, a plugin... Something so people landing on the page understand whether this product fits the device they are using or planning to use for the service.

Also practice shows that it's always a good idea to add "Sign up/ Sign up free" button on the landing page, as Get started sounds intriguing yet not as self-explanatory as we'd want it to be.

Hope my comment is on point, otherwise, nice work with the Apricot and best of success with your product. Shoutout to the philosophy of the Apricot :)

      Great feedback, thank you!

        You are welcome!

I also noticed you did a great work on the blog part, so you do consider SEO which is great. Maybe also focus on the keyword on the landing page and have H1-H4 that would really explain the product (particularly helpful thing with the search terms).

I like the "Face the fire hose" line but I don't think it's clarifying what value Apricot is providing.

Fair, I'll have to think more about that.

Is it like an app for your phone notifications?

No, so that's great feedback. I'll have to work on making the "what" clearer. Thanks!
