April (YC S25)

A few months ago, I joined a hackathon with no big plan - just the goal of building something I actually wanted for myself and getting free pizza.

At the time, my mornings were chaos: 50+ unread emails, calendar conflicts, and me wasting an hour before I could start “real” work. I always kept thinking, what if I could just talk to my inbox and calendar while driving to work instead of clicking through them?

In that 12-hour hackathon sprint, my friend and I hacked together a rough prototype: a voice assistant that read my emails out loud while I drove, let me say “reply to Sarah” or “delete all promos,” and even rescheduled meetings without touching my screen. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked - and for the first time in years, I hit Inbox Zero before my day began.

That weekend project became April. Today it clears my inbox and organizes my calendar during my commute or a quiet walk. We’re now building it full-time (YC S25), adding features like screen preview and PDF reading, and bringing it to more people who feel buried in email.
