Been a minute since I left an update on how we are growing this architecture media brand. The last year or so has come with it's own share of challenges especially to do with numerous Google algo updates - a daily worry in this business. But we are still growing, and pushing into more content verticals everyday.

We have gotten here by doing content research and planning, keyword analysis, exploring B2B business opportunities and building content for it, link building, guest posting and content partnerships, publishing content consistently, email outreach to companies we feature to share our articles and running sporadic SEO campaigns.

We have received 2,000 newsletter sign ups from the pop-up opt-in form on our site. We also have over 5,000 subscribers for push notifications. To accelerate the growth of our newsletter we will probably be making eBooks or guides to offer for free in exchange for email addresses.

We reached 10,000 visits organically without really knowing much about SEO. We had many of our articles shared across social media channels in the thousands. One of our top performing pieces to date was shared over 50,000 times online. Other articles have received lots of shares as well.

Finally we built and launched the site with about 30 projects featured. We also deployed our social media profiles with a focus on Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook in that order.

Building the site was fast. We purchased a theme, put up the domain name and hosting, made a few customizations, added content and launched.

Talked to some of my friends and other architects on the need for an online architecture magazine that would adequately cover the world with a focus on life-changing architecture projects. One of the issues was also that African architects did not have a lot of coverage on their projects and international architecture media was ignoring the continent's rich culture in architectural art.
