Arena
Keep up with HubSpot, without leaving Slack
One year into building Arena we decided to roll out pricing. We had some good organic growth, some blog posts written about us, and decent trial numbers.
Very few people converted though, mostly due to our prices being too high. We really took the "charge more" ethos to heart, and for larger teams we were targeting around $150.
We rolled out cheaper pricing a few months later and got some more conversions, but didn't get the response we were looking for. Plans are now $10 to $50. This could probably be higher if we wanted to put more money into sales, but we don't have much time to spend on Arena. Everything is pretty much in autopilot.
We were working at Intercom at the time and saw notifications from Salesforce being used to coordinate sales, keep product in the loop on what's winning or loosing deals, and generally keep people in the loop.
Decided that there was something we could do for HubSpot and Slack specifically.

Working at Intercom we both noticed our sales team using slack to coordinate activities and celebrate wins / learn from losses. We decided to build a dedicated product to handle this use case for HubSpot users.
