The private weekly planner for the life work ignores

July 21, 2026 I ran my life in Notion, then Evernote, then ChatGPT, then Obsidian. Then I built asambl

For years I've run my life on an intentional-living framework across the whole of it, not just work. The framework stayed constant; the tools kept changing. It started as a calendar plus Notion, then Evernote, then ChatGPT, then Obsidian. Each one carried the idea further, and each hit the same wall: none was built to draft your week across all of life and size it to the capacity you actually have.

asambl is that system built on purpose. It's a private AI weekly planner for your whole life across six areas: work, health, money, relationships, joy, and growth. You capture what matters, it drafts a week you can run, and you decide what makes the cut. Accepted blocks sync to the calendar you already use.

Two things I cared about from the start: your notes and plans stay on your machine as files you own, and the AI can be switched off entirely. When AI is on, only the prompt for that request goes to asambl's managed AI, and it isn't kept long-term.

Desktop app for macOS and Windows, free during the beta. I'd genuinely value your feedback, especially on where the planning model breaks down for you.

The shift from replacing existing planning tools to preserving the planning framework across them stood out.

Designing around a person's actual capacity instead of simply helping them organize more tasks feels like a fundamentally different promise than most productivity apps make.

About

Most weeks just happen to you. Work fills the calendar and the rest runs on what's left. asambl exists so you can live by design: it drafts a week across your whole life that you approve or change.
