AskRIC
Discover the investment potential of homes for sale near you
As of today, we're live on the App Store for iOS!
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/askric/id1494061203?ls=1
AskRIC is a subscription-based service, but for a limited time we're providing a full-featured, 7-day preview. Explore properties for sale, analyze rental income potential, and make offers, all from the AskRIC app.
We're live for Android! While our iOS app should be just days away, we decided to rollout AskRIC for Android.

We're excited to see how AskRIC can help real estate investors find and analyze properties.

After a couple of months of bug fixing, feature building, app flow tweaks, Flutter upgrades, and long nights, AskRIC was ready to be reviewed for release on the Play and App stores. Knowing that this process can sometimes drag on for weeks, we submitted a month in advance of our ideal release date. This allowed us ample time to fix any production bugs that are difficult to test with non-production builds. On top of that, we utilize RevenueCat for our subscription handling which does present some additional challenges during the review process. [edit] Our issues seem to be related to the Apple IAP API and not RevenueCat.

Hey Casey! Jacob here, CEO of RevenueCat.
What sorts of challenges did you see in App Review? Lots of dumb stuff happens in the App Review process, and if it's something we caused we always fix it.
Feel free to email me jacob@revenuecat.com if you want to keep it private.
Thanks! And congrats on your launch!

Just two days shy of our goal, I distributed a beta release of the AskRIC app. This felt like a monumental accomplishment since it was my first try at using Flutter, and there was a lot of learning required to get where I needed to be. While many production features were yet to be perfected or implemented, the beta app was hugely helpful in gathering feedback from our internal test group.

In order to validate some of our initial assumptions, we decided to build the first prototype on web, even though the eventual plan is to roll out to iOS and Android. As my background is primarily in web, this proved to be a quick and simple way to demonstrate core functionality.

The idea for AskRIC was brought to me by a long-time business partner with a growing portfolio of rental properties. We set out to blend traditional home buying apps and complex analysis tools into one simple app.
