Assembly
Manage your time and projects in one place.
We've recently been on a huge drive to garner feedback for the Assembly platform - finding out how we can improve the experience, and add that feeling of β¨delightβ¨ when users use the platform.
Our largest piece of positive feedback is that the homepage looks AMAZING, and that people love our design, but we've received on piece of really helpful feedback...
Registering feels like a leap of faith. We weren't quite conveying how the app works, and what it looks like.
To imrpove this, we updated our homepage to include snippets of the application, to give people an idea of what the platform looks like π
The hardest thing about receiving feedback is understanding that there will be negatives, and you need to learn to accept those and use them constructively.
We encourage people to really be cynical when they test the platform, because that's how we get the most value out of testing!
2020, the height of COVID lockdowns in the United Kingdom.
Previously in-office teams are forced to move to a remote working pattern, in line with government guidance.
Hundreds, if not thousands of organisations scramble to organise a remote working strategy that will work for their small organisation... shelling out hundreds of dollars, euros and pounds on tools to help their team work remotely.
It's a shock, a big shock. What shocked me even more, was the total lack of tooling that helps teams manage their time and projects in one central location.
Thus, the very first concept of Assembly was born.
We worked to create a prototype, which allows teams to manage their own time and their projects in a central application.
There's Clockify, Monday, Asana, Flextimeplanner, but none of them combined time and project management, forcing teams to almost double their spending on software, and fracturing their productivity, forcing them to context switch between apps, when inherently time and projects are grouped by one measureable concept. Time.
Assembly combines time management and project management to allow teams to understand where their time is going, what their schedule is looking like, and how their team is working.
