May 12, 2023 Passed $2k revenue

What a ride, we have doubled our revenue in under a year. It's still growing slowly but steadily. We are currently featured on the Trello Marketplace again and we now have ~10k board installs! Still continuing to expand the feature set and doing some marketing for the product.

February 4, 2022 Version 2.0

We have been working on a new version of Assista for almost a year now. We are a 4 member team consisting of a backend dev, front-end dev, product person, and a designer. Last year we realized that the MVP we built was getting traction, but wasn't good enough in terms of UX. We wanted to make sure what Assista is trying to do was also easy to do. For this, we needed to revamp the UI/UX and introduce a fresh new branding for the product. We are almost ready! We just soft-launched it to most of our customers and are currently cleaning up any remaining small bugs!

January 23, 2022 100 signups

It's been a long way to get here, but Assista just passed 100 signups! 🤞 Let's hope we keep growing and reach profitability soon. For now, we are just able to cover our server costs and a little bit above to buy us a pizza :D We need around 8k MRR to cover our salaries.

2021 Launched MVP

We launched the public version of Assista, introduced a paid subscription model and wanted to see if it will get adopted by the Trello community. It did! We started getting more and more subscriptions and it was obvious that others need a similar solution as we did ourselves. So that was good news!

March 28, 2018 Decided to start building it

Assista started as a project inside Camplight - a digital software cooperative. We needed a way to track our time inside Trello, but no good solutions existed for us, so we decided to build one! We wanted Assista to be unnoticeable to use and to track our time based on our actions inside Trello. We didn't like any of the solutions out there (there are many) because they all required us to manually track our time or to manually log hours on a spreadsheet. We wanted Assista to work seamlessly with our Trello flow and not get in our way. If we move a card to our "In progress" list we wanted Assista to start counting time for that card. If we move it out of that list, we wanted Assista to stop counting. Easy peasy.
