Build the first version was very fun and rewarding

The main process was built using a Node.js script that pulls the articles, does all the summarization, categorization and etc. This script is running on an Amazon Lambda and updates the website automatically every 2 hours without any human interaction.

It was just an experimental side project to see if could be possible do something like that and right now is running without me needing to do much.

I'm a redditor and sometimes I could see a news article post and there it was the tl:dr bot. It would summarize the article so you could read the news without having to read a long article.

This bot did not work with Portuguese subreddits, so I got the idea of making a website that would aggregate summarized news from multiple sources. The idea is that you can see the summarized article and if you want to read the original article there is always a link to it.

That's where the ideia came from and what made me start building Astratu
