Hey Indie Hackers,
I’m building SeedAds, an AI tool that turns a product or website URL into a short video ad for TikTok, Meta, YouTube, or launch campaigns.
The idea came from a problem I kept seeing:
A lot of solo founders, Shopify sellers, and small SaaS teams can build products quickly, but making decent video ads is still painful.
You either:
- hire an editor,
- spend hours in CapCut,
- use a generic AI video tool and gamble with random outputs,
- or just avoid video entirely.
I wanted to make the workflow much simpler:
Paste a URL → extract the product info → generate hooks and selling points → pick a style → render a short ad.
Right now, SeedAds can:
- crawl a product or landing page URL
- extract product details, images, pricing, and key claims
- generate a creative brief with hooks and ad angles
- create short video ads in different styles
- output videos for TikTok / Meta-style campaigns
- support e-commerce, dropshipping, and SaaS landing pages
The positioning I’m testing is:
“Video ads for founders and sellers who don’t have a creative team.”
I’m still trying to validate a few things:
1. Is “paste a URL, get a video ad” clear enough as a value prop?
2. Should I focus first on Shopify/dropshipping sellers, SaaS founders, or agencies?
3. Do founders actually want ready-to-post ads, or do they prefer more control over scripts/storyboards?
4. What would make you trust an AI-generated ad enough to publish it?
The current site is here:
I’d love honest feedback from other builders:
- Is the landing page clear?
- Which audience does this feel strongest for?
- What part sounds useful vs. too hype-y?
- If you were launching a small product, would you try something like this?
Happy to share what I learn as I keep building and testing the positioning.

Congrats on the launch, looks solid. How are you currently thinking about acquiring early users and gathering feedback?
Interesting project! Astrology tools tend to attract serious engagement, and I can see there’s a lot of content on the site. It’s clearly a large, content-rich platform with many features and pages.
From a security and privacy perspective, a few questions:
• Since users enter birth date, time, and location, are you storing that data, or is it processed transiently?
• If birth charts are saved, are they isolated per user account at the database level?
• Are you protecting input fields against injection attacks, especially with such a large surface area across many pages?
With a site that has this many tools and pages, the attack surface grows quickly. Clear data handling and strong input validation will be important for long-term trust.
Impressive scope. Security and privacy transparency would make it even stronger.
