Attendr

Simple real-time staff presence tracking for offices.

Visit Website
March 9, 2026 Just launched my side project Attendr.

I started building it after running into a frustrating problem at work. We were paying for a fairly large enterprise attendance/presence system but realistically only using about 10–20% of what it could actually do. The rest was complexity and features nobody touched.

At the end of the day we really just needed a simple answer to a simple question:

“Who’s in the office today?”

So I started building a much simpler real-time presence board in my spare time while working full-time.

Attendr focuses on being simple, fast to deploy, and easy for teams to actually use.

Would love to hear how other teams track office presence these days.

    Hi Scott

I recently came across Attendr and took a few minutes to look through the product — really interesting what you’re building.

I’m currently building Defectra, a startup-focused testing service that helps founders catch product bugs before users run into them.

We run quick real-world tests on key flows like signup, onboarding, navigation, and mobile responsiveness, then deliver a clear bug report within 48 hours.

If it’s helpful, I’d be happy to run a small free test on one core flow of Attendr and share the findings with you.

Either way, wishing you the best as you keep building.

About

Built Attendr after realising our enterprise attendance system was massively over-engineered. I wanted a simple real-time board showing who’s in the office.
