Aufwind

I had sometime over the weekend and decided to build a glider tracking app using live OGN data (http://wiki.glidernet.org)

This app is released as Aufwind Glider Tracker (https://apps.apple.com/de/app/aufwind-glider-tracker/id1526313985?l=en) completely free of charge but contains links to my other apps especially Aufwind.

Aufwind is released on May 13th, 2020 into a soaring season that never really got started due to COVID. I was planning for a big launch but given the situation I decided to keep it low-key get some early users and valuable feedback on v1.0 and use this season to improve the app. I plan to do a bigger launch for the next season assuming COVID situation will have improved by then.

Started working on an app for glider pilots which became Aufwind over the years.

The goal was from the beginning to create an app which helps pilots to conduct safer flights while making it easier for them to dabble their toes in cross-country flying.
