Hello everyone,
I began my SEO "Journey" back in 2016 with my first blog post on my personal website. Back then I didn't know much about SEO other than the basic meta tags and that high-quality "real" backlinks were one of the most important ranking factors.
My first attempt to programmatically increase the ranking of my single blog post was to use a software tool called Protractor to perform a Google Search for relevant Keywords to my website.
The process went like this:
Protractor would open up a new Google Chrome browser tab and navigate to Google.com
Protractor would then click on the Google search box and type in the search text and trigger the enter button
Then it would click on other website links and it would click the back button within a couple of seconds and I thought this would signify to Google that it was a bad source for that specific search
And then it would click on my blog post and sit on it for a couple of minutes before closing out the page and repeating the process.
That was the start of my programmatic SEO Journey. Since then, as an engineer, I have primarily focused on building Software as a Service products and I have implemented basic SEO work to benefit my websites.
My current product is an automation tool called Auto Page Rank. It automatically indexes websites' web pages on Google using Google's Index API. The idea behind it is that for websites with a large number of web pages, think hundreds, thousands, or even millions, or perhaps hundreds of websites with extensive web page content, manual indexing can be both cumbersome and, in some cases, impossible.
I have also built many non-related SEO tools and I plan to keep on building things, both free and paid!
I am looking forward to receiving feedback on this!
