automation made simple
I finally completed my PoC after working full-time for 5 days!
During this time, I learned the new Nextjs version (13) with the app directory.
Although the landing page is a simple and straight-to-the-point version, it still needs a lot of work. However, it will suffice for now.
The dashboard looks horrible, but my few beta users are friends whom I can guide through the integration setup. A lot (and I mean a lot) of bugs are still occurring, but it is barely working!
I have been scheduling and publishing tweets for my own account without leaving Notion. It feels like magic, and I love that I can dogfood this product because I wanted to use it!
It still feels like magic, almost 15 years later, to write something out of nothing and see it working.
Happy New Year! After validating the idea with fellow social media managers, friends, and Notion power users, I set a hard deadline for myself.
As a developer, I tend to feature-creep every side project I work on because I think it is essential. This often leads to a loss of motivation and never shipping anything.
To combat this, I was inspired by @donnfelker on Twitter and decided to only give myself five full-time days to work on this project and ship a barely working MVP/PoC.
Although I have never worked with the Notion API, Twitter API, Instagram, or LinkedIn, I am ready to dive into the documentation. My goal is to integrate Notion and Twitter.

One of my goals for 2023 was to grow my social media following, especially on Twitter. I wanted to start producing content that delivers value rather than just consuming it.
I already use Notion for everything and to organize my personal and professional/business life.
One of the most tried and true pieces of advice for growing a social media following is to be consistent. I struggle with this because I have bursts of things I want to share instead of daily writing and publishing ideas.
While there are already platforms that do social media scheduling and publishing, none of them use Notion as a CMS. That was the idea: to schedule (automatically or manually) and publish without ever leaving your Notion workspace! 🍅

I use Notion for everything, one of the things I wanted it to be more consistent with posting on social media. I already use Notion to produce and plan my content, so why not schedule and publish from my workspace?
