Autoresponder for Google Hangouts

After launching my first paid project earlier in the year I figured I should try charging for Autoresponder as well. After adding a bunch of features and making some big ops improvements I emailed all my users and automatically switched them to the 7-day trial that new users would now get. I also improved the self-hosting experience somewhat to show good faith.

Within a few weeks I had 5 subscribers at $2/month each.

I launched Autoresponder while working full-time at Venmo. The original motivation was that I was missing chat messages to Google accounts that just forwarded email. I had no intention of charging for it at this point; I just figured it was a problem that other people probably also had.
