Avenir
We built Avenir to give every founder a voice before launch

For too long, the story of startup discovery has been:
Build in secret → launch → pray for upvotes → fade away if timing is wrong.
We built, we launched, we watched. And we realized — this isn’t just inefficient. It’s harmful.
It trains founders to optimize for noise over creativity.
To chase virality instead of substance.
To beg for luck instead of building their vision.
Discovery shouldn’t be a gamble.
It’s the bridge between ideas and the people who need them.
It’s the responsibility of the ecosystem — to surface innovation, to reward progress, to let good ideas live beyond one fleeting launch day.
That’s why we made Avenir:
Broadcast Layer: Show your idea early. Share prototypes, work-in-progress, concepts.
Billboard Picks: Every week, 3 products get permanent spotlight — not a 24-hour badge.
Terminal Navigation: Explore by intent, not algorithmic luck. Find projects that matter to you.
The Pulse Feed: A living feed powered by engagement depth and progress, not popularity contests.
Even our landing screen is built to inspire — a 3D interactive model, cinematic teaser video, and forward-thinking navigation. Because discovery isn’t just what you see — it’s what you feel when you arrive.
The question for every builder:
Are you participating in a 24-hour hype game, or are you helping shape a future where discovery actually works for creators?
If this resonates, we’re quietly opening our early waitlist and giving early founders a chance to claim their Founder Code and reserve a 1-week free Billboard slot:

Curious to hear from the community — what’s the biggest problem you’ve faced with discovery as a founder? How do you want it to evolve?

For too long, discovery has been treated like a marketing stunt.
You build for months (or years), you pick a launch minute, you beg your network for votes — and then you watch your product either explode for 24 hours or disappear forever. That pattern teaches the wrong behavior: optimize for virality, not value. Optimize for the launch moment, not for the work that keeps you building.
What if we treated discovery like infrastructure instead of theater?
Infrastructure has rules, persistence, and composability. It powers the apps we build on day after day — not just on day one. If discovery were infrastructure, it would:
Track provenance and progress (who built what, when, how it changed)
Surface sustained momentum, not just spikes
Offer programmatic access so other builders, tools, and researchers can build on top of it
Give permanent, meaningful signals of quality and contribution
That’s the idea we’re building at Avenir: discovery-as-infrastructure.
What that means in practice (how Avenir implements it)
We turned the above concepts into product patterns — the concrete pieces that stop discovery from being a lottery and start making it a system.
1) Permanent Spotlight — not a 24-hour stunt
Every week we select 3 Avenir Picks. Those Picks earn permanent placement in our timeline and a living entry in the Avenir network. It’s not a badge that disappears — it’s a marker in the timeline of innovation.
2) Temporal Stories — the product as an evolving narrative
Instead of a single launch snapshot, each product in Avenir keeps a timeline: updates, experiments, pivots, traction milestones — all discoverable. People get to see the story, not just the headline.
3) Signal Graph — depth over clicks
We measure engagement depth (time spent interacting, updates frequency, discussion quality) and not just surface clicks. The Pulse (our live feed algorithm) uses these richer signals to surface projects that contribute real utility or creativity.
4) Terminal Navigation — exploration by intent
Discovery shouldn’t be passive. Our terminal UI lets you query the network:/pulse ai startup +design → shows evolving AI + design projects with recent meaningful updates.
It’s exploration for makers, researchers, and curious humans — not endless infinite scroll.
5) Broadcast Engine & Billboard — cinematic visibility
We let founders broadcast early — teasers, prototypes, WIP. The Billboard on our homepage projects these in cinematic form. Early founders can reserve a 1-week Billboard broadcast slot (we’re granting free slots to early submitters) so their idea is seen, not shouted.
6) Manual Curation + Scalable Automation
We begin with human analysis to keep signal quality high. Over time we layer AI-assisted scoring so scale doesn’t erode curation. Human judgment sets the baseline, automation increases reach while respecting context.
Why this fixes Product-Hunt-style problems
Timing vs. value: PH rewards perfect timing and mass mobilization. Avenir rewards progress and contribution. If your product improves and your story continues, visibility grows — not vanishes.
Noise vs. context: PH is a high-volume feed. Avenir surfaces context — the why and how behind products.
One-off launches vs. lasting legacies: On PH your launch day is everything. On Avenir your launch is the first entry in a living timeline.
A founder’s path (example)
Imagine Lena, who builds a note-taking app with an unusual twist. On Day 1 she posts on Product Hunt, gets 200 upvotes, and is forgotten the next week. On Avenir she broadcasts a prototype, gets qualitative early feedback, updates the product, and appears in the Pulse for weeks as traction builds. Three months later she’s an Avenir Pick; her product has a permanent place in the discovery timeline and ongoing visibility to the exact audience she needs.
That’s the difference between being seen once and being recognized.
Call to builders (what we want from the community)
We’re live enough to have people visit and test. Our analytics show strong IH-driven traffic. Now we want the product to match the momentum.

This is such a refreshing take! Discovery as infrastructure makes a lot of sense — focusing on long-term value instead of launch hype. Really curious to see how Avenir evolves

This is a really good idea and for what the current state of the founder platforms look like Avenir feels like they took a step back to the roots of what true founder focused platforms looks like

Somewhere along the way, Product Hunt turned discovery into a popularity contest.
Not about ideas. Not about innovation.
Just upvotes, timing, and followers.
You could build something groundbreaking —
and still get buried because you didn’t post at 12:01 AM PST or rally a crowd in Discord.
That’s not discovery. That’s a game.
And we’re done playing.
Avenir was born from a simple truth:
The future doesn’t need permission from algorithms to exist.
So we built a platform that sees creativity for what it is.
A place where every MVP, every spark of innovation, gets a chance to breathe — not fade.
Here’s how we’re reprogramming discovery 👇
🧭 Terminal Navigation — explore like a creator, not a consumer.
📡 The Pulse — a real-time algorithm that rewards evolution, not hype.
🪩 Billboard Broadcasts — where the best ideas are projected in cinematic motion across the homepage.
Even our landing screen feels more alive than Product Hunt’s entire system —
interactive 3D models, immersive motion, and a design that celebrates what’s next, not what’s trending.
You deserve more than a number beside your name.
You deserve a stage.

Really amazing direction.

Really liking the direction with Avenir — the product feels intentional: clear promise, simple flow, and fast “try → aha” moment. That kind of opinionated UX is what keeps users coming back.
Two quick ideas that might compound:
Add a 30-sec zero-to-result demo at the top to show the core loop immediately.
Offer a few pre-built templates or use cases so new users don’t face a blank start.
Curious: what single moment best predicts a paying user — first saved result, second project, or inviting a teammate? And which channel is bringing paying users right now — community, showcases, or search?
P.S. I’m with Buzz — we build conversion-focused Webflow sites and pragmatic SEO for product launches. Happy to share a quick GTM checklist if useful.

The design is amazing. Curious how "a real-time algorithm that rewards evolution, not hype" would work

Let’s be honest — Product Hunt stopped evolving the moment it became “just a leaderboard.”
It used to feel alive. Now it’s a museum.
A daily lottery where great ideas disappear after 24 hours, buried under timing, clout, and timezone advantage.
Discovery was never meant to be a 24-hour luck game.
Discovery is supposed to ignite something — to reward creativity, momentum, and the builders who keep building long after launch day.
That’s why we built Avenir.
Not another directory. Not another feed.
A living discovery layer for the next generation of founders.
When you enter Avenir, you don’t just scroll —
you explore through terminal navigation,
you discover live projects through The Pulse,
and you see ideas projected on our Billboard, a cinematic broadcast of the future in real time.
Even our landing screen feels more futuristic than Product Hunt’s entire career.
Interactive 3D visuals, motion layers, and a command-driven interface — all designed to remind you that discovery isn’t static anymore.
Because Avenir isn’t about “launching.”
It’s about living in what comes next.
So here’s your invitation —

This is such an exciting concept! I like how Avenir is changing the idea of product discovery — it feels more alive and ongoing, not just a one-day competition. It’s great to see a platform built for real creators who keep improving their projects. I’ll definitely explore it soon! Also, I’ve been working on some creative design tools at pixellabnowdotcom always love seeing new ideas that push things forward.

This sounds really refreshing! I love the idea of making discovery more dynamic instead of just a one-day leaderboard. The concept of “living in what comes next” fits perfectly with how fast creators and founders evolve today. Definitely checking out Avenir — it feels like the future of product launches.

The design is amazing. UI looks absolutely stunning.
