Awesome Goat
AI powered text analysis web tool for capital allocators
So, this will sounds a bit weird so bare with me.
I have published the first screenshot of the platform I have built on my twitter. For some reason it wasn't straight forward or easy thing to do. I barely have any followers, yet I would rather spend entire winter improving the platform instead of doing the outreach to the users. Interesting. I haven't expected that feeling from myself when I started work on this.
Certainly, path of Indie hacker is path of self discovery.
Love.
Since June, I have created minimalistic front-end and spent multiple iterations on improving the backend. Also found more uses for the platform.
I have couple of TODOs that I need to execute before I launch
- buy domain
- sing up for indieahackers
- start tweeting every day
- figure out how to deliver transactional e-mails with minimal costs
- find captcha provider?
- finish my deployment automation script
- figure out how to configure nginx
- figure out how to set-up TLS
- set-up firewall properly
- frontend
- add user configuration page
- disable REST API for now
- move e-mail sending from front-end to backend
- do security audit of all the controllers
- remove broken blog links
- re-name couple of features to better names
- deploy
- switch dns to the new location
- love

I know I should have created a landing page with the subscribe button very early on and then iterate over user feedback. But remember I am goat, I cannot be helped.
What I did instead is I slowly created library and then backend and testsuite. It took me almost 7 months. Although I perhaps only used 60 minutes per day on the idea.
1hour * 30 days * 7 months = 210 hours.
I think 210 hours is equivalent to 2 weeks of non-stop coding.
14 hours * 14 days = 196.
Except spending an hour a day is superior for me. As it allows me to think during the day. Love.

I kinda had a need for this product for almost 10 years, yet the product didn't exist.
One day, I found indiehacker community, I figured out I could become independent founder. Podcasts gave me all the energy I needed. Working on this product in the early days helped me recover from depression (!).
My primary motivation is to be independent. As I mature in my life, I become very different to my co-workers in the big tech. Very different. Hence I am a Goat. Love.

I strive for independence. I don't want to sit on the meetings of big corp.
