April 1, 2026 Just shipped: "New Repos This Week" β€” see what AWS publishes before anyone else

Week 2 update on AWS Solution Finder:

πŸ†• New feature live: "New Repos This Week" badge on the search page. Shows every repo AWS published in the last 7 days, grouped by org with direct GitHub links.

44 new repos this week across 9,657 total indexed.

The tech: EventBridge triggers Lambda twice daily β†’ compares GitHub's live repos against our index β†’ Bedrock Nova Pro classifies new repos β†’ FAISS vectors updated. Fully serverless, zero manual work.

Why this matters: AWS publishes new sample repos almost daily. Most developers don't see them for weeks. Now you see them the same day.

Updated numbers:

πŸ“Š Revenue: $0

πŸ‘₯ Users: 4 registered, 2 Pro trials

πŸ” Repos indexed: 9,657

πŸ†• New this week: 44

The same-day repo discovery is a useful wedge, but I’m curious whether the bigger challenge now is getting those 2 users to come back regularly rather than expanding the feature set. What’s the progress on retention or repeat usage since the launch?

I am not able to understand the problem it is solving. Does it provide information just related to AWS or anything in general?

      Great question! It's AWS-specific.

The problem: AWS has 10,000+ sample repos spread across 5 GitHub orgs (aws-samples, awslabs, aws-ia, etc.). When you need a reference architecture β€” say for a serverless API, or an EKS migration pattern β€” you end up opening dozens of tabs across GitHub, AWS docs, and Stack Overflow.

AWS Solution Finder lets you search all 10,000+ repos with plain English. Each repo is scored on freshness, complexity, AWS services used, and setup time.

Think of it as "Google for AWS GitHub repos" β€” but with AI-powered ranking and metadata that GitHub search doesn't have.

It's niche by design. Individual AWS developers and Solutions Architects are the target users.

AI has developed a lot and it be with CDK or business logic, I am able to scrape or use the info provided by event Chat GPT and Claude. Then, what differentiates your product?

About

After 25 years as a Solutions Architect, I was spending 2+ hours every time I needed to find the right AWS architecture pattern. Built this to solve my own problem β€” now sharing it with the dev community.
