Views are designed to make it easier to visually explore and display the data in your Backendless Database. With a view, you can combine data from related tables, transform, aggregate, group, and condition data, and all of the complexity is handled through a user-friendly visual interface.

In our version 6.2 update, we added a number of improvements headlined by the opening of our EU hosting center. The EU data center helps apps that serve Europe more easily comply with GDPR, as well as potentially improving app speeds for apps served outside of the U.S.
UI Themes were added to UI Builder, allowing users to customize the look of their components globally and implement CSS/LESS-based animations.

On this day in history, Backendless was born. The first version included five different builds: SDK for iOS, Android, JavaScript, .NET/Windows Phone and ActionScript (Flex/AIR). The SDKs included a library that provided access to the Backendless APIs. Additionally, each SDK included several examples demonstrating the APIs in action.
