Backswing.com
A golf publication built on user generated content
Backswing.com has landed our first two advertisers for our sponsored roundups. We are steady publishing about 4 roundups per month, which doesn't seem like much - but for me it's a mountain! My business partner has helped drive the consistency of our publishing. We have incredible engagement from our contributors - we pose the questions, they submit their answers. Our link juice is on the rise (slowly but surely). We honestly don't have a solid plan for how to keep monetizing, but that's why I'm here - posting in the public ;)
This is a retro-active post, but mostly to commemorate our official launch of Backswing.com. Our business model is unique in that we utilize user-generated content to develop "roundups". We ask our group of golf professionals questions about a specific topic and they contribute their answers. So far we have almost 400 golf professionals as contributors.

great idea, thoroughly enjoyed reading them!
was hoping to find a round up about hybrid vs. fairway wood.
I can make that happen! What specifically is your question - how to hit the different clubs, which is better, what to use in which situation? Let me know and I'll get it on there as a roundup.
Love this idea! How did you build the site?
Hey thanks! Built it in WordPress and using gravity forms to collect the data then push it directly to an "answer" post. Then that gets associated with "question" post via ACF. It's a nice process that took a while to perfect!
