For years, we noticed the same silent failure across Arabic e-commerce: search simply doesn’t work.
If a customer types “كميص”, “قميص”, or “kamees”, most stores return nothing. That’s a lost sale and a bad experience — and it happens thousands of times every day across Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom stores.
So we built Basira Search by CloudVertex Technologies — an Arabic-first AI search engine that understands Arabic, Arabizi, and English. It’s powered by Go + PostgreSQL + pgvector, designed to be lightning-fast, and installs in under three minutes on Shopify (and works with any platform via API).
What makes Basira different is that it doesn’t treat Arabic like an edge case. It’s built from the ground up to handle Arabic morphology, mixed scripts, and semantic meaning — so “كميص = قميص = kamees” all return the same result, instantly.
We launched quietly first, and now Basira Search is officially live on the Shopify App Store.
