Batmapp
Creative coding platform for audiovisual performances.
After a long period of coding and adding a lot of tools and some kind of lack of motivation, COVID19 was the responsible of getting the last effort to make the binary available for everyone to download it.
This is when I came here to listen to you and get your advices to make my next move. The software will be free forever, I want to make money distributing my animation content as visual packs and creative coding courses.

Batmapp is entirely made with OSS so I decided to start coding in public and release the source code. I created an add-on for openframeworks for people who want to create their own version of batmapp and get all the benefits of it's environment.

First time traveling for free with nice friends to do my first international performance with Batmapp. I made it to the finals and ended within the 10 best performances between more than 40 contestants from 15 different countries.
I did my first talk in English presenting Batmapp with a small but awesome audience. A lot of new friends and more motivation to continue pushing forward.
I'm a huge fun of Batman, I run my indie company as "Murciélago digital" and I think bats are amazing animals. So I decided to call my software: Batmapp. In part because is a MAPPing software, it's an App and of course I love batman and there's a few .com domains with a cool name like this. So I bought batmapp.com.
I was invited to participate on a Live Performers Meeting contest called The VJ Mapping Tournament International and I decided to use my own software prototype for my performance.
With more than 25 participants from 7 different counties, surprise! !! I won the first place and a full paid trip to Europe to participate on the next edition of the festival. That motivated me a lot to continue with the development of my tiny tool.

I started to integrate a lot of tools in a single package and visualizing a lot of potential on the long term, but nothing serious, just experimenting and playing with real time visuals designed for projection mapping and audiovisual performances at home.
