Bank statement PDF → Excel, 100% in your browser
Every accountant I know in the UAE and the Gulf wastes hours on the same task: retyping bank-statement PDFs into Excel, line by line — worst of all at VAT and month-end. And the tools that exist make you upload client statements to their servers, which is a dealbreaker for confidential financial data.
So I built BayanSheet: drop in a bank-statement PDF, get a clean, reconciled Excel/CSV back in about 30 seconds — and it runs 100% in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. It's tuned for local Gulf bank layouts (Arabic and English) and balance-checks every file, so you never hand a client a wrong number.
The twist: I don't code. I built and shipped the whole thing — converter, payments, Arabic RTL site, admin dashboard — as a non-technical founder, and it's live at https://bayansheet.com (free for the first ~10 pages).
Now the hard part: talking to accountants until one pays. If you do this work, or know someone who does, I'd love brutal feedback on the output. And if it misses a bank format, send me a sample and I'll tune it.
