Be Right Back
SMB leave tracker that automates coverage too
I just launched Be Right Back, a leave tracking and coverage-planning tool for SMB teams that have to keep work moving while someone is OOO.
Why I built it, quickly: For previous teams I've managed approving PTO, Remote work requests, Leave, etc. was manual. We had a large HR function, but for some reason these requests never went through them, it was left up to each manager - so I would recieve a slack or email from a member of my team, log it in an excel sheet, respond to the team member with their balance left for the year and then add it to a shared calendar. This never actually solved for the stress when someone was out of course - who was covering what? So I wrote an SOP for team members to follow before they headed out for requests of a certain length. It included things like creating a handoff doc, choosing someone who would cover for them, etc. This was a god send - it helped team members feel more confident if they were covering for someone and if they were the ones heading out. The problem was, I was still in the loop quite a bit, it was all still manual.
So that's why I created Be Right Back - it's great for the manager because it provides visibility across your team in terms of requests that need managing, how prepared someone is before they head out, a updated shared calendar for visibility across the team of who is away and when and automated notifications along the way. For the staff - it's a great portal to view your balances, make requests, see when team members are out so you can plan around them and gives you the confidence to head out and return with ease.
If anyone is interested in the following, I'd be happy to repay the favor:
1. Roast my landing page. berightbackatwork.com — genuinely want the harsh version. Is the "leave tracking + coverage planning" pitch clear in 5 seconds? Does the pricing (per-approver, staff free) make sense at a glance? Am I burying something important? Tell me what's confusing or what you'd cut.
2. What's actually worked for your B2B SaaS GTM? I'm running Google Search Ads on category terms right now ($150 test budget, small teams / no-HR-department angle) and about to decide whether to put my next chunk of effort into organic content or more paid. If you've done early B2B GTM, what actually moved the needle for you? Curious what worked vs. what you wasted time on.
3. What are you building in the B2B space? I'm new to this world and want to follow along with other people doing similar early-stage B2B stuff! drop your project below, happy to be a real user/tester for people in the same boat.

The interesting insight isn't that managers need leave tracking—they already have spreadsheets for that. The real problem is operational continuity. I'd keep validating whether customers are buying leave management or confidence that work keeps moving without becoming dependent on a manager every time someone is out.
Great shout! Funny because I have been actually working on updating the section right below the hero to emphasize just what you're talking about - that they're buying confidence & a plug and play process. Appreciate the comment Aryan!
That makes sense.
One thing I'd keep watching is whether customers describe the value in terms of avoiding a problem ("tracking leave is easier") or gaining a capability ("the team keeps moving without everything routing through one person").
The language they naturally use will probably tell you which promise is strongest.
