Studying marketing and landing pages
by BeamsolverWhile I think I am a decent coder, I know I totally suck at marketing. In fact, I have never even done it. So I started learning about SEO, call to actions, ads, and all that stuff. My plan is to make myself like marketing by learning how to do it.
Meanwhile, I kept improving Beamsolver by adding a few more features and polishing everything up.
I will now put the developing part of this journey a bit to the side, and start to focus more on marketing, whatever that word means.

Marketing is one of the most important skills in tech. Just like engineering or design, marketing requires practice and experience to master. Many great engineers/coders demonstrate subpar marketing skills and vice versa. However, regardless of what you may be working on, if you have a well-defined product that solves your customer's problem then you're on the right track to building something great.

Totally agree, I'm aware that marketing is my weak spot. I've basically paused development for two weeks to focus just on that. There is so much stuff that goes into making a product successful

Are you currently focused on organic reach or paid? have you tried engagement marketing through social media?

I'm focusing on organic reach only. In terms of social media I have set up a linkedin page yesterday and I will start posting more seriously next week.
I'm also setting up an affiliate marketing platform. This will allow me to ask informational webmasters in my niche to become partners.
