June 27, 2026 I Built a SaaS Without Funding, a Technical Co-Founder, or Coding Skills. Here's What Happened.

Two years ago, I went from a 20-year sales career to building a SaaS company with zero coding experience.

Looking back, I probably underestimated how hard it would be. But I also wouldn't change the journey.

For over 20 years I worked in enterprise sales, selling software for companies like Oracle and Microsoft. I generated millions in revenue, and most of my prospecting came through manual LinkedIn outreach.

In May 2024, I had a simple thought.

What if I built the tool I always wanted to use?

Before I even started, I made three decisions.

  • No external funding. I wanted to build the company my way.

  • No co-founder. I didn't know a technical person I trusted enough to start a company with.

  • No outsourcing development. I'd spent years selling software development services and knew the margins many agencies charged. I wanted to build an in-house team instead.

Finding that team turned out to be one of the hardest parts. The first six months were mostly trial and error. We hired people, replaced people, and searched for engineers who could actually build a LinkedIn automation platform.

While all that was happening, I wasn't sitting still. I started talking to SaaS founders every week to understand how they built their companies. Those conversations shaped many of the decisions I made later.

At the same time, I began posting consistently on LinkedIn about building Bearconnect. That slowly built a waiting list of around 200 people before we even launched.

Real product development only started around January 2025. In May 2025, we did our soft launch. One decision surprised a lot of people. I refused to give the product away for free. Many founders told me to let everyone use it for free during beta. Instead, I offered 50% off an annual plan ($399/year).

Only six people signed up. Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful those six users became our first customers.

Between May and September 2025, the product had plenty of bugs. They were patient, brutally honest, and gave feedback that shaped Bearconnect into what it is today. Without them, we probably wouldn't still be here.

In October 2025, we officially launched with a 7-day free trial.

Even then, I added one more piece of friction. Everyone had to enter a credit card. I knew it would reduce signups. But I'd rather have fewer serious users than thousands of people who were just curious, collecting free tools, or researching competitors.

Today, about nine months after launch, we've grown almost entirely organically. Most of our traffic comes from SEO, AI search, LinkedIn, and Reddit.

We launched on Product Hunt and had 0 sign ups. Our waiting list of 200 people? Only five eventually became paying customers. Cold email? We're still experimenting and haven't seen meaningful ROI yet. We haven't invested in paid ads or creator partnerships either.

One thing that also changed during the journey was our positioning. Early on, people kept asking: How are you different from HeyReach, Expandi, Dripify, or Dux-Soup? Honestly...I didn't have a good answer. At first, I would say our UI was cleaner and we were more affordable. That wasn't enough.

Then, while manually creating content on LinkedIn every day, it clicked. Why should users need one tool for content and another for outreach?

That became our direction. Today, Bearconnect combines LinkedIn content creation, scheduling, outreach, and team collaboration in one platform. We're also building heavily for agencies with workspaces, roles, and permissions, which is coming in V2.

We're still a very lean team. We listen closely to our users, and build our roadmap based on their feedback instead of guessing what they want.

Are we where I want us to be? Not even close. There is still a long road ahead, especially in such a competitive market. It's been one of the hardest things I've ever done. It's also the thing I'm most proud of.

  1. 1

The part that really stood out wasn't the product—it was the moment you stopped asking, "How are we better than HeyReach?" and started asking, "Why are people using multiple tools in the first place?" That's a very different question, and it completely changes where differentiation comes from. Curious whether that realization came from one customer conversation, or if it slowly became obvious after hearing the same pain point over and over?

April 8, 2026 From $0 Reddit Marketing to Landing GEO Clients Before Building Any Product — Here's the Exact Framework

A few months ago, I posted on Indie Hackers about how I drove 1,200 website visitors and landed paying SEO clients with zero ad spend and zero followers.

The post got solid engagement. People found it useful. What I did not mention then was what happened next.

A client messaged me: "Just finished a call with a French guy who found us on Gemini. He is using PhantomBuster. He really liked what he saw and will speak with his manager for approval."

Not Google. Not a cold DM. Gemini.

That one message changed how I thought about the entire business.

1. Why I Shifted From SEO to GEO

My original offer was SEO for early-stage SaaS founders. It worked. I got clients from Reddit posts, IndieHackers posts, and community engagement. All organic, all zero budget.

But when I talked to those clients, most of them had the same deeper goal: they wanted to show up where their buyers were searching. And their buyers were increasingly not typing into Google. They were asking ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

That was the first time I started taking GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) seriously.

I spent weeks researching it. A few things became very clear.

First, AI search adoption is not slowing down. Buyers are asking AI tools for product recommendations, vendor comparisons, and tool suggestions. If your brand is not in those answers, you are invisible to a growing segment of your market.

Second, most SaaS founders have no strategy for this. They are still optimizing for Google while their buyers are already on Gemini.

Third, nobody has locked down this space yet. The tools that exist mostly stop at monitoring. They tell you how visible you are. They do not tell you what to do next. That gap is where real value lives.

2. How I Validated the Idea Before Building Anything

I did not build a product. I did not write a single line of code. I offered it as a done-for-you service first.

I posted in communities where early SaaS founders spend time. Same style as my previous post: lead with a real result, share a genuine framework, invite conversation. No hard sell.

The offer was simple. I would audit your current AI visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. I would map what your competitors are doing to show up in AI answers. Then I would build a content and distribution plan to get your brand mentioned in the right AI responses.

I kept the first cohort small on purpose. Four founders. Each paid for a 60-day engagement.

What I learned from those four clients:

  • Monitoring alone meant nothing to them. They wanted to know what to publish, where to publish it, and how to structure it so AI models pick it up

  • The platforms that matter most are Reddit, Medium, LinkedIn, G2, and niche communities. AI models pull heavily from these

  • Consistency of brand language across platforms is more important than volume of content

  • One well-placed Reddit answer in the right subreddit can get your brand into Gemini responses within weeks

3. What Actually Moves the Needle in GEO

Most founders think GEO is about gaming AI models. It is not.

AI models learn from the web. If the web talks about your brand in context, in the right communities, with the right framing, AI models repeat that context when someone asks a relevant question.

So the real work is:

  • Identify the exact questions your buyers ask AI tools

  • Create specific, useful content that answers those questions

  • Publish that content on platforms AI models actively index (Reddit, LinkedIn articles, Medium, Quora, niche directories)

  • Make your brand language consistent so AI models can confidently attribute the answer to you

This is not manipulation. It is just showing up in the right places with the right content. Same principle as SEO. Different distribution layer.

4. The Result So Far

The French founder who found me through Gemini was not looking for me specifically. He was asking Gemini about a workflow problem. My content appeared in the answer. He clicked, liked what he saw, and booked a call.

That is GEO working exactly as it should.

Current status:

  • Inbound leads from Gemini and Perplexity: yes, happening

  • Paying clients for GEO strategy: 4 in the first cohort

  • Money spent on ads: $0

  • Time to first GEO-sourced inbound: 6 weeks after starting the content work

5. Why Early-Stage SaaS Founders Should Care Right Now

If your SaaS is under $10K MRR, your competitors are almost certainly not doing this. That window will not stay open forever.

The founders who get mentioned in AI answers today will own that position when their market matures. The ones who wait will pay a lot more to catch up.

Traditional SEO still matters. But GEO is the layer on top that most people are ignoring right now. That is exactly where the opportunity is.

March 28, 2026 Shipped Make, Zapier & n8n integrations - now looking for GTM automation partners

Hi everyone,

Since launching Bearconnect about six months ago, we’ve focused mostly on stability and reliability. We wanted to make sure the core LinkedIn outbound experience worked well before expanding the ecosystem.

This week we shipped something big for us - native integrations with Make, Zapier, and n8n.

Users can now:

  • Push leads from Bearconnect to other tools

  • Trigger outreach campaigns automatically

  • Sync activity with CRMs

  • Build custom outbound workflows

  • Connect enrichment → outreach → CRM

This unlocks a lot of GTM automation use cases that weren’t possible before.

Interestingly, right after launching, we started getting questions like:

  • “How do I build a full outbound workflow?”

  • “Can someone help connect this to HubSpot?”

  • “How do I trigger campaigns from Clay?”

  • “Can I auto-route leads to campaigns?”

So instead of trying to do everything ourselves, we’re looking to partner with GTM and automation experts who already build these systems.

We’re putting together a certified partners page where we can:

  • feature automation experts

  • connect them with Bearconnect users

  • collaborate on templates and workflows

  • build repeatable outbound playbooks

If you work with Make, Zapier, n8n, or build GTM systems, I’d love to connect. Please comment here or add me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/monajuneja/

November 13, 2025 How I Finally Got Replies on LinkedIn (and Stopped Feeling Like a Spam Bot)

I used to hate LinkedIn outreach.
Sending connection requests felt like shouting in an empty room.

Managing messages across profiles? A nightmare.

And worst, I got flagged twice scared me off automation for months.

Then I realized it wasn’t about blasting messages faster.
It was about smart, steady outreach that feels real.
So I started automating just enough to save time but kept things personal.

I used one tool Bearconnect for Automating my LinkedIn From the Post creation to Run lead campaign that put messages, replies, and posts in one place.

No jumping between dashboards. No weird bots.
Just honest, human outreach that didn’t get me banned.

Result?
My inbox filled with real conversations.
Meetings booked.
And more time to focus on building.

If you’re feeling burnt out trying to grow on LinkedIn, maybe automation doesn’t have to be scary or spammy.

It helped me be less busy and get better results.

What tricks have you found for LinkedIn outreach that just work without wasting time?

November 13, 2025 Bearconnect: How I use LinkedIn automation to save 5+ hours a week and double my outreach

As a solo founder, scaling on LinkedIn was overwhelming.

I spend hours brainstorming post ideas, manually posting updates, tracking engagement, and following up with potential leads leaving little time for building products. I

knew I needed leverage, not just another generic tool.

bearconnect.io was a game changer for me as an indie hacker.

Here’s how it fits into my workflow:

  • Post ideation: Instead of hitting creative walls, Bearconnect suggests fresh ideas based on trending niches, past performance, and even what’s buzzing on Reddit. This means every post is relevant, timely, and likely to spark real conversations.

  • Secure scheduling: I now schedule posts using the official LinkedIn API, so nothing ever gets penalized or flagged. I can batch a week’s worth of content in minutes, without worrying about manual errors.

  • Analytics-driven growth: With Bearconnect’s analytics, I track which posts perform best and refine my strategy weekly. Instead of guessing, I’m acting on real data to boost engagement and reach.

  • Outreach automation: Nurturing leads is now effortless. Automated follow-ups and message templates let me personalize at scale while keeping everything safe for my account.

  • Multi-account management: I can manage several LinkedIn profiles for my projects each has its own analytics, scheduling, and dashboard. The pricing even gets better if you connect five or more accounts.

Bearconnect isn’t just about saving time. It’s made my social presence more authentic and systematic.

If you are an indie hacker who wants to grow on LinkedIn without burning out or losing your personal voice,

Bearconnect is built with that in mind.

Happy to answer any questions or share a walkthrough for those curious
