Bedia
The fastest, simplest way to get transcripts and subtitles.
It wasn’t taking off like I thought it would. Oh well, I had fun and learned a huge amount about how build and launch things.
I’ll keep up the site for posterity - maybe even come back to it sometime - but for now I’m more interested in improving my skills in other areas and try something more challenging like marketing.
Today one of my first trial customers for Bedia converted to paid. I noticed when I got the email from Stripe that said "Payment of $40". Completing everything on time was difficult but it felt amazing! Just 99 more of these and I'll be exactly where I want to be with my business.

It took 6 weeks, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Bedia. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in Ruby on Rails since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

As a podcaster who puts out audio and video versions of the show, I wanted a tool which gave me transcripts for my website's SEO and Youtube subtitles together for no extra cost, rather than paying separately for both.
